From the Cacao Grove

"Long before chocolate bars, drive-thrus, and vending machines..."

People across ancient Mesoamerica treasured cacao.

It wasn't just food.

Legend has it that warriors and travelers carried cacao for energy during long journeys. It was shared with honored guests, enjoyed during important gatherings, and valued as one of nature's greatest gifts.

Some stories even say cacao beans were so valuable they were used as currency.

Imagine buying dinner with chocolate instead of dollars.

Enter The Three Guardians

As my Neuro Spicy brain has decided, three guardians watched over the cacao groves.

Each protected something special about the spirit of cacao.

Deep within the cacao forests lived Chocotl, the Jaguar Guardian and unofficial mascot of the grove.

Strong, wise, and occasionally mischievous, Chocotl protected the cacao trees and reminded people that every gift carries meaning.

When someone shared cacao, they weren't simply offering food.

They were saying:

"I see you."

Where Chocotl watched over the grove and entertained travelers, Cacaotess welcomed those who entered it.

She believed good things grow when people support one another.

  • A shared drink.
  • A helping hand.
  • A small gift.

Every act mattered.

Holy Bean spent his days counting blessings instead of beans.

One day he noticed something troubling.

People everywhere were creating beautiful things and helping others in many ways:

  • Art
  • Music
  • Craftsmanship
  • Gardens
  • Essential Services

Yet many of those creators, caregivers, and helpers were running on empty.

So Holy Bean wondered:

"What if people could support one another as easily as communities once shared cacao?"

Welcome to Buy Me Chocolate

The three guardians gathered beneath the cacao tree and imagined a modern grove.

A place where appreciation could flow freely.

A place where creators, caregivers, makers, healers, dreamers, and everyday humans could receive support for what they do.

That idea became Buy Me Chocolate.

Today, every bit of fuel shared is a small act of encouragement.

A modern way to say:

"I appreciate what you do."

Thank you.
